Imre Kertész Kolleg Jena

Fellowships

The Kolleg offers fellowships to scholars of Central and Eastern Europe who focus on the twentieth century in history and related disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, literary studies or political science. Fellowships at the Kolleg are writing-fellowships designed to enable recipients to either conceptualize or finish a larger work while benefitting from the regular and lively exchange with the community assembled at the Kolleg. It is expected that fellows reside in Jena for the duration of their fellowship. Supporting archival or library research elsewhere is not envisaged.

Following the publication of a relevant Call for Applications, scholars who hold a PhD are invited to apply. Please consult Notes for Applicants.

Self-funded scholars who would like to join the Kolleg’s vibrant community are warmly encouraged to get in touch and discuss possibilities. In addition, the Kolleg offers support for scholars wishing to apply for a Humboldt Fellowship.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to the Kolleg’s Managing Director, Dr Raphael Utz.
