We are pleased to announce that Philipp Ther, Professor of History of Central and Eastern Europe at the University of Vienna, has been honoured with the Wittgenstein Award by the Austrian Science Fund. The prize is an endowment of 1.5 million euro and is equivalent to the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibnitz Prize of the German Research Foundation. The prize money will be used, inter alia, for further development of the Research Cluster for the Study of East Central Europe and the History of Transformations (RECET), which was founded in 2018 at the University of Vienna.
The Kolleg is delighted to congratulate Phillip Ther, one of our advisory board members, on this great honour!
