From 25 - 28 September the 52nd Biennial Meeting of German Historians takes place in Münster. The overall theme of the 2018 meeting is "Divided Societies" and the Imre Kertész Kolleg is proud to be a part of this.
Our director Joachim von Puttkamer and our colleague Juliane Tomann represent that Kolleg at the Historikertag. Their session both take place on Friday, 28 September from 14:00 - 16:00.
Joachim von Puttkamer chairs the joint session on "Who Protects the Truth? Nationalism and the Juridification of the Past". Nikolay Koposov (Atlanta), Pawel Kowal (Warsaw), Ola Hnatiuk (Kiev) and Johann Chapoutot (Paris) take part in this discussion, which is organised by the VDH and the Körber Foundation.
Juliane Tomann speaks about "Geschichte als nationales Master-Narrative? Das Museum des Zweiten Weltkrieges in Gdańsk" in the session "Museen im Widerstreit – Museale Geschichtspolitik zwischen Nationalismus und Globalisierung", which is organised by Daniel Morat and Irmgard Zündorf.
